The more I study Creative Visualization and Manifestation principals it becomes more clear to me that we always get in our own way. We block our blessings and good luck from happening.

If we look at the Law of Karma (aka the Law of Cause and Effect) and the Law of Attraction in it's purest form, we can see how it is possible to get in our own way of success.

I really like the definition used by Deepak Chopra's Center on Karma:

Every action generates a force of energy that returns to us in like kind . . . what we sow is what we reap. And when we choose actions that bring happiness and success to others, the fruit of our karma is happiness and success.

Wikipedia says:

Karma means action, work or deed; it also refers to the principle of causality where intent and actions of an individual influence the future of that individual. Good intent and good deed contribute to good karma and future happiness, while bad intent and bad deed contribute to bad karma and future suffering.

If you have earned positive karma, for example, by helping and doing nice things for people, pets or plants. Why wouldn't that same positive energy come back in your direction when manifesting your dreams?

The law of attraction on Wikipedia states:

The law of attraction is the name given to the term that "like attracts like" and that by focusing on positive or negative thoughts, one can bring about positive or negative results.

The universe has no choice but to honor your thoughts and feelings.

If you say, "I want Mariah Carey to sing on my song", and truly believe, it will happen. But if you say, "I want Mariah Carey to sing my song" and then second-guess it, by following that statement with, "Why would Mariah want to sing my song? Who do I think I am to believe she will do such a thing?"

Well, the Universe hears that and poof it's granted.

It is easy for us to get in our own way with these types of thoughts.

We pick up thoughts from all sorts of places. They are in our subconscious mind via the media, our friends, family members, internal dialog from our past traumas and other outside thoughts that are easily accessible.

The best thing we can do is control our thoughts and feelings to the best of our abilities.

Stay positive, think positive and feel positive and the rest will workout in your favor.
